 Born in Pittsburgh, PA, raised in State College, PA; and yes, that makes me one hell of a Penn State fan

 Being that I'm 6’4” and a nerd, I caught the attention of Ivy League basketball coaches early on; The lure of Wharton sent me to West Philadelphia… you know you want to

 After a career-ending injury, I decided to transfer to a school I thought looked far too idyllic the first time around

 Took my first painting class at UR where upon transferring was told I had to take classes "other than business" in order to graduate; This professor encouraged me to keep painting

 Was accepted into the MFA program in Graphic Design at SCAD; Packed up a u-haul full of Billy bookcases and headed even farther south; Learned to wait tables

 Graduated first in my class and moved back to Richmond with a job waiting—take that "you're going to art school?" naysayers;

 Launched studioSavvy after landing a freelance project that was going to pay more than the salary I had been making

 Brought on a partner at studioSavvy

 Designed the Richmond Type Map, my first official retail product

 Acquired another partner and rebranded studioSavvy as Bayonet

 Bayonet transitioned into roles with one of our clients

 Quickly realized my future involved a lot of meetings without a lot of purpose; Decided not to waste one more day being unhappy, quit my job, and started Carrie, Ink!
